Permit for Mixed Use Project Withdrawn
This is somewhat of a deviation of our normal newsletters as this information pertains to the County Planning Commission’s upcoming Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, 7 PM Meeting, to be held at the County Administration Building on U.S. Route 60.
This hearing on Monday is expected not to be held by the Planning Commission based on the fact that the applicant, Atlantic Investment Corp., has withdrawn their proposed Special Use Permit.
The Planning Commission voted several months ago, to hold a Public Hearing regarding the Special Use Permit of the Industrial Park Property that the Board of Supervisors, months ago, voted to enter into a contract of sale with Atlantic Investment Corp, LLC. You can find information on the proposed Special Use Permit here: https://cms9files.revize.com/buckinghamcounty/Document_Center/Agenda%20&%20Minutes/Planning%20Commission/2022/PC%20Packet%209-26-2022.pdf
Those in favor and in opposition can speak during the public comment portion of the meeting before the Planning Commission though you must sign up before the meeting begins.
You can find the video for the Planning Commission meetings and their agenda and supporting documentation here: https://www.buckinghamcountyva.org/administration/boards___commissions/planning_commission.php.
